Eventually, a central blind spot or scotoma, may be formed within the individual's central field of view. They may be incomplete scotomas such as this slide, meaning that some light and image can still pass through the scotoma. These scotomas can be of varying size, shape and may allow more or less light passing through to the macular area. |
