| Sometimes the wavy lines may continue to become exaggerated where most of the central viewing area can become affected. However, sometimes it may be far more discreet and less noticeable. It may also show a very small abnormal blind spot. Oftentimes, the eye doctor may see early signs of macular degeneration through an ophthalmascope or slit lamp examination. Additionally, they may use a grid pattern or a graph to map out these central fields. |
